Compounding plastics

Development of cheap compounds with high-quality properties.
In this R&D project cheap polymers, such as recycled materials, are compounded and tested by Artecs. Using these base materials we develop compounds with specific (combinations of) properties. This enables us to upgrade relatively cheap material to high-quality polymer.
Once extruded, the materials are injection moulded into standardised test sticks. These are then tested for tensile strength, elasticity modulus, yield strength, Izod impact, MFI, etc.
All tests are performed in compliance with the recognised standards. (ISO, DIN and ASTM)
